(3) Filter element performance test:


(1) Measurement of air flow pressure loss (flow-resistance or flow-pressure adit curve) by flow-resistance (pressure drop) test.


(2) The original filtration efficiency test can calculate the dust collection efficiency of the filter element, the dust removal rate of the normal filter element should be more than 99%.


(3) Dust storage capacity test and cumulative efficiency test too much dust accumulation in the filter core causes blockage and increase of air intake resistance. The intake resistance when the engine power is reduced by 5% or the fuel consumption is increased by 5% is a limit. When this value is reached, the filter element must be cleaned or replaced. During the test, when the intake resistance or pressure drop reaches 7-46kPa, the ash weight is the dust storage capacity of the filter element, while the filtration efficiency during the test is the cumulative efficiency.
