The purpose of the oil filter is to filter out these mechanical impurities and colloid, keep the lubricating oil clean and extend its service life. The oil filter should have strong filtration ability, small flow resistance, long service life and other properties. General lubrication systems are equipped with several filters with different filtration capacities -- set filter, coarse filter and fine filter, which are connected in parallel or in series in the main oil channel respectively. (The filter connected in series with the main oil channel is called full-flow filter, and the lubricating oil is all filtered through the filter when the engine is working; A shunt filter in parallel with it. Modern car engines are generally equipped with only a filter and a full flow oil filter.
